Update Snap Packages with snap refresh

snap refresh checks the Snap Store and updates all installed snaps; snap list shows current revisions and snap revert rolls back a bad update.

Run `sudo snap refresh` to update all installed snaps now, `sudo snap refresh <name>` for one package, and `snap list` to see versions.

01Command

Command
$ sudo snap refresh

02What it does

snapd auto-refreshes snaps a few times a day, so updates can land outside your control — `sudo snap refresh` forces the check immediately, which is handy after a security advisory. Each update creates a revision you can roll back with `snap revert <name>`, and `snap refresh --time` shows the auto-refresh schedule. This namespace is separate from apt, so Ubuntu packages listed as 'snapd' apps never appear in apt upgrades.
