List Shared Folders on a NAS or Another Mac
Use smbutil view to enumerate the SMB shares a server offers before mounting anything.
Run `smbutil view -g //guest@192.168.1.20` (guest) or `smbutil view //username@host` to list that server's shared folders.

Command
$ smbutil view -g //guest@192.168.1.2002What it does
Finder's Connect to Server needs the exact share path, and this command tells you which ones exist — handy for NAS boxes whose admin page you can't find. The -g flag asks as guest; without it smbutil prompts for the account's password. Share names shown here are what goes into the mount path: `smb://host/sharename`.
