Inspect an Active SMB Share Connection
Show protocol version, signing and connection details of mounted SMB shares with smbutil statshares.
Run `smbutil statshares -a` while a share is mounted to see SMB_VERSION, signing and other per-share properties.
01Command
Command
$ smbutil statshares -a02What it does
Slow NAS transfers are often explained here: an old negotiated SMB_VERSION, signing enabled, or encryption forced all cut throughput on older hardware. statshares lists one block per mounted share, so -a (all users' shares) covers every connection on the Mac. It reports state only — nothing is changed.

04Undo
✓No undo needed — this command does not change persistent state.
