List VPN Configurations with scutil --nc list
Enumerate every VPN configuration known to the macOS network control subsystem and check its connection status.

Command
$ scutil --nc list

scutil --nc stats <service-name>02What it does
System Settings only surfaces a subset of VPN configurations, especially those installed by profiles or third-party apps. `scutil --nc list` queries the NEVPNManager-backed store directly and shows every service, marked `*(disconnected)` or with its live state. This is the fastest way to script VPN checks: combine with `--nc status` to get Connected/Disconnected, or `--nc stats` for traffic counters.
03Risk
!Warning: Output includes services created by MDM profiles that you may not be able to remove locally.
04Undo
✓No undo needed — this command does not change persistent state.
