Rejoin Split File Chunks with cat
Reconstruct a large file exactly from its split pieces.
Run `cat part-* > bigfile.iso` so the shell expands the pieces in order into one file.
01Command
Command
$ cat 分块-* > 大文件.iso02What it does
Because `split` produces alphabetically ordered chunks, a wildcard in shell sort order reassembles the byte stream perfectly — the restored file is byte-identical to the original. Verify with `shasum` against a recorded checksum if one exists.
03Risk
!Warning: The `>` will overwrite an existing target file without asking. If any single chunk is missing or renamed, the result is silently corrupt — count the pieces first (`ls 分块-* | wc -l`).
04Undo
✓No undo needed — this command does not change persistent state.
