Check WinRE Status with reagentc /info
Verify the Windows Recovery Environment is installed, enabled, and where it lives before you need it.
01Command
$ reagentc /info02What it does
WinRE is what Startup Repair, reset, and BitLocker recovery depend on, and it silently ends up disabled or misplaced after disk surgery — cloning, resizing partitions, or wiping the recovery partition. reagentc /info shows Windows RE status, the \RETOOLS partition path, and BCD identifiers. If disabled, reagentc /enable re-registers winre.wim and reagentc /setreimage /path <dir> points it at a relocated image.
