Clean the npm Cache When Installs Act Up

Fix corrupted npm caches with npm cache clean --force, or verify and self-repair with npm cache verify.

WindowsdevelopernpmLow risk
Run `npm cache verify` to repair the cache, or `npm cache clean --force` to wipe it completely when installs keep failing.

01Command

Command
$ npm cache clean --force
# or verify/repair instead:
npm cache verify

02What it does

Half-written cache entries make npm fail with integrity errors or phantom 'version not found' messages. npm cache verify checks every cached package, throws away corrupt files and reclaims space — it is the gentle first step. npm cache clean --force deletes the entire cache; npm insists on --force because a cold cache means re-downloading everything, but it resolves the stubborn cases.

03Risk

RiskLow risk
RequirementsRequires Node.js/npm installed. --force is required because npm refuses cache cleaning by default.

04Undo

✓No undo needed — this command does not change persistent state.
