Check TCP Statistics with netstat -s
Inspect retransmissions, errors, and connection resets per protocol to see if the network stack itself is struggling.
01Command
$ netstat -s -p tcp02What it does
When downloads crawl but ping looks fine, retransmit and error counters often reveal the story. netstat -s prints cumulative since boot, so sample twice with a gap to see the rate. Rising retransmissions alongside a Wi-Fi adapter points to signal problems; reset counts climbing after a specific app starts can expose it.
