List Installed .NET SDKs and Runtimes on Windows
See every .NET SDK and runtime version on the machine with two quick dotnet options.
Run `dotnet --list-sdks` for SDKs and `dotnet --list-runtimes` for runtimes.

Command
$ dotnet --list-sdks; dotnet --list-runtimes02What it does
When a project complains about a missing .NET version or builds with the wrong one, the first step is seeing what's actually installed. `dotnet --list-sdks` prints every SDK version with its install path, and `dotnet --list-runtimes` does the same for runtimes (ASP.NET Core, desktop, etc.) — you often have several side by side. Both are instant read-only queries built into the dotnet CLI itself.
03Risk
!Warning: These list versions under the dotnet currently first in your PATH — if you use multiple installs, check that PATH points to the dotnet you expect.
04Undo
✓No undo needed — this command does not change persistent state.
