Remove the Auto-Hide Delay of the macOS Dock
Set autohide-delay and autohide-time-modifier so the hidden Dock appears immediately when you move the cursor to the screen edge.
01Command
$ defaults write com.apple.dock autohide-delay -float 0 && defaults write com.apple.dock autohide-time-modifier -float 0.15 && killall Dock02What it does
autohide-delay controls how long the Dock waits after your pointer hits the edge before it starts showing; autohide-time-modifier multiplies the slide-in animation length. Setting the delay to 0 and the time modifier to a small value like 0.15 keeps a snappy micro-animation instead of the slow default slide. killall Dock restarts the Dock so the change applies immediately, and deleting both keys returns Apple's defaults.

04Undo
$ defaults delete com.apple.dock autohide-delay && defaults delete com.apple.dock autohide-time-modifier && killall Dock05Sources
