Delete a Leftover Service with sc delete
Remove orphaned services that spam the event log after their software was uninstalled.
01Command
$ sc query "OldAppSvc" :: then, if it's safe: sc delete "OldAppSvc"02What it does
Uninstallers often leave their Windows service behind, which then fails at every boot and clutters the Services list. Check what the service belongs to with `sc query` and stop it with `sc stop` before deleting. The entry disappears from services.msc immediately after deletion (a reboot fully clears running remnants).
