Check Wi-Fi signal strength and channel on Windows
Show live details of the current wireless connection with netsh wlan show interfaces.
01Command
$ netsh wlan show interfaces02What it does
When a Wi-Fi connection feels slow, the quickest check is the live signal quality Windows is seeing. netsh wlan show interfaces reports signal strength as a percentage, the channel in use, the radio type and the negotiated receive and transmit rates. A signal below roughly 60% or a low receive rate points to distance or interference from neighbouring networks rather than a problem with the PC.
