Cancel a Pending Windows Shutdown with shutdown /a
Abort an accidental shutdown or restart countdown before the timer runs out.
01Command
$ shutdown /a02What it does
If you accidentally ran a timed shutdown command (or Windows announces an update restart countdown), the /a switch aborts it. The command only works while the time-out period is still running, so execute it quickly. A toast notification confirms that the shutdown was cancelled.
